When you drive into the property, you’ll see the main cabin on the right and the guest cabin on the upper left. Your kids will scamper down the path, past the bonfire pit, to the white sand beach. You’ll hear their laughter as you explore the carpeted bigger cabin, with three bedrooms, a bathroom, long dining room table, couch, stereo, kitchen with trash compactor, fridge, stove/oven, microwave, and central air conditioning. A large fire-pit waits for you, wood stacked outside. A TV/DVD and Apple TV await with Direct TV. The master bedroom with queen-sized mattress stretches from here to way over there. The side of the cabin that views the lake is all floor-to-ceiling of sliding glass doors and screens. Step outside onto the wide deck and drink your coffee on the picnic table or lounge chairs. Liability: This rental unit is privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 15 persons April-October and 12 persons November-March, including children and infants. If there are more than 15/12 people on premises at any time during the rental period, the Guest will be charged additional fee of $200 per night per person. People other than those in the Guest party set forth above may not stay overnight in the property. Any other person in the property is the sole responsibility of Guest who made the reservation. 5. Condition of Premises: If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. If any damage to the Premises happens during the Rental Period, including damage to the dwelling, furniture, appliances, dishes, beach, dock, hot tub, steam room, beach toys, kayaks, or anything else located on Premises, whether the Guest and/or his party caused the damage or not, Guest shall inform the Homeowner immediately. 6. Security Cameras: There are 3 active security cameras on the property – all located OUTSIDE. One is in the front of the house by the flower bed, the other one on the beach pointed towards the lake, and the third one is in front of the house on the garage side. They are there for security purposes. There are NO active cameras INSIDE the house. Guests are not allowed to temper with the cameras. 7. Parking: Guests may park in the driveway. The garage is NOT included in the rental. 8. Pets: Guests’ Pets are NOT allowed. Please note that the owners have a dog that comes to the cabin occasionally, so, if you or anyone in your party are allergic to dogs, this property is not a good fit for you. 9. Smoking is NOT allowed. 10. Hot Tub: The hot tub is NOT to be used by Guests. Guests are not allowed to open the cover. 11. Steam Room: Guests must read instructions before using/operating Steam Room. Please keep in mind that there is always a chance of the steam room not being available due to repairs. We do our best to resolve any issues as fast as possible, but sometimes the situation is out of our control. We do not provide any refund in the event that it breaks. The steam room use is NOT guaranteed. 12. Boat Lifts: The owners’ boat lifts are NOT included in rentals. Please do not use them. 13. Boats: The owners’ boats and watercrafts are NOT to be used. If you bring your own boat (or rent one), you can tie it to the dock. Please use bumpers to avoid damage to your boat and our dock. While some wear and tear on the dock is normal, excessive damage to the dock will be considered as damage to the property and repair cost subtracted from security deposit and/or filed with damage protection insurance that all renters are required to purchase. If winds are over 7-8 mph, it is best to keep the boat on the trailer. 14. Fireplaces: Fireplaces are NOT available for use in the Summer (Fire Pit on the beach is available in the Summer). If you want to use the Fireplace in the Off-Season or the Fire Pit in the Summer, please bring some firewood with you. Firewood is sold at all gas stations in the area. The door of the wood-burning fireplace must be kept closed while the fireplace is in use. No open door fire, please. 15. Fire Pit: There is a fire pit on the beach. Please bring / purchase your own firewood – we do not provide it. It is sold at all gas stations in the area. 16. Coffee: There is a Keurig coffee maker at the Lodge. Please bring your own K-cups. 17. Music/Noise - Outside/Beach Area: Playing LOUD MUSIC on the BEACH is NOT ALLOWED (sorry, we've had some issues with it before - neighbors complaining). Sound really carries over the water, and we want our neighbors to enjoy their time at their cabins, too. Same goes for talking loudly early in the mornings and late in the evenings. Thank you! 18. Glass bottles on the beach: Please avoid bringing glass bottles to the beach area, as broken glass on the beach is an accident waiting to happen. Use aluminum cans or plastic cups, please. 19. Shoes / Sand: Please remove your shoes and rinse off your feet before entering the cabin from the beach. All that sand causes a lot of damage to our hardwood floors. Thank you! 20. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. We suggest you bring bath and beach towels. We do not permit linens to be taken from the unit. At the end of your stay, please remove your bed linens (sheets, blankets, pillowcases) and deposit them on the floor of the laundry room. The cleaning crew greatly appreciates it. Thank you! 21. Bedding/Blankets/Pillows: Due to CoVid-19, only the minimal amount of bedding is provided – one set per bed, no extras. A full bathroom with a washer and dryer unit, and sleeping quarters in the main lower room consisting of 2 XL twins and 2 XL twin hide-away beds and a walkout patio. There is a ceiling fan in the lower main room as well. A/C throughout cabin. Cable TV and DVD player in cabin. Internet / WiFi Included! Outside near the shore is a built-in Tiki Bar with 2 windows that open up to the lake and granite counter tops. There is a refrigerator inside for you and your guests to stock up and enjoy. There is also an air-compressor with attachments for you to use to blow up your inflatable toys. We have a very unique outdoor shower system right below the deck that offers both cold and hot water.This is so nice to use after a swim in the lake. There is also a long dock with a built in bench at the end of it and a swimming ladder to get in and out of the water. On shore there is a log swing to sit and admire the breathtaking sunsets. A paddle boat, 2 adult paddle boards, 2 junior paddle boards and 2 youth kayaks are also fun to enjoy and are your's to use during your stay. We also have firewood on hand for you to use in the firepit. We do not charge you for the wood but do have a 'firewood donation box' on top of the fridge and really appreciate donations so that we can continue to keep supplying the wood in the future . This is a classic Minnesota cabin. Fabulous beach. Crystal clear water. Bald eagles and herons. Tall pines. The kind of place you envision when you hear "northwoods cabin." Built in 1946, it's a place with history and one that's been cared for through the years. We love the scale of the buildings relative to their surroundings - they rest on 2 acres of land and the cabin itself is respectfully situated near the lake. The cabin can sleep up to 8 comfortably plus two more in sleeping bags. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed. Upstairs in the open air loft, you will find 2 twin beds under one rafter and a queen futon snuggled under the other. In the summer, one of our favorite spots is out on the screened porch. We like to listen to the peepers in early summer and later, the hum of the cicada. There’s a lovely cross breeze that moves the air about. And plenty of seating for late night chats with friends and family. For quieter moments, relax on the couch with a good book and let the ceiling fan keep you cool. Outside, enjoy 275 feet of lake shore. There are no rocks, so kick off your shoes and walk carefree. The lake has gradual elevation into the water so you can be watchful, not worried, about your little ones on the beach. Children will love digging in the sand, fishing and jumping off the dock. Check-in 4 PM Saturday, checkout 11 AM following Saturday. The cabin has 3 spacious bedrooms which all have amazing views of the water. The first has a king bed with walk in closet and en suite bathroom, the second a queen and the third twin bunk beds and a queen sized futon couch. The open plan kitchen is fully equipped with quality cookware and has new, stainless steel appliances. There is an island with bar seating for 4 and the dining table can comfortably accommodate 8 people. Cozy up in the evenings in our large living room which has a gas fireplace and large screen smart TV. The 2 bathrooms are the only rooms that don't face the water. The cabin is 27 feet from the lake which offers great bass and northern fishing, water skiing, jet skiing or just taking in a sunset. The property has a deck with a grill and patio furniture. The swimming beach has a hard, sandy bottom and is shallow a long ways out. Perfect for little ones! There is also a private dock which you can use to park a boat. A fire pit is located on the beach as well. This is a great place to come when you want to get away from it all. We are located on a private road so you won't hear any traffic noise. There are numerous golf courses in the area as well as unique shopping and antiquing in nearby Nisswa and Pequot Lakes where you can also access the Paul Bunyan trail.
